We hereby invite you to consider Sponsorship in any form or capacity of the activities of the European Peptide Society (EPS). The aims of EPS are:
· To arrange the biannual EPS meetings in a formal fashion
· To promote studies of peptide chemistry, biochemistry, and biology
· To publish in the society Journal of Peptide Science
· To support educational activities in Peptide Science
· To bridge Industry and Academia in the field of Peptide Science
· To establish the basis for industrial application of peptides
The most prominent task of the EPS is to secure the important biannual meeting which has been held 30 times and currently hosts about 1000 participants. Peptides are now more than ever in the forefront of research areas comprising immunology, hormones, toxins, antimicrobials and signalling molecules. Thus the peptide meetings have generally attracted scientists from both academia and industry from very different areas to create a melting pot for new ideas and collaboration across the scientific disciplines. Peptides hold obvious potential as drug candidates and have also inspired many of the current peptide mimetic drugs in clinic or on the market. The importance of the field for pharmaceutical industry is obvious. 31EPS will provide the best environment for successful exhibition of novel chemistry, biology and technology of the peptide field and ensure optimal exposure and contact between participants and industry. The organizers therefore kindly ask you to consider a sponsorship of the 31st EPS conference which will be held in Copenhagen September 5 - 9, 2010.
